Young Nigerian becomes the first African to win the International award on Fearism

Overcoming fear begins with understanding the self first, and this is the first stage in the life of anyone who intends to maximise their full potentials and break even in an age of accelerated change. This is not only the belief of the fearologist but also his admonition. For the fearologist the power to conquer fear is not just an acquired trait but a natural disposition that enables one to access their risk factors and elements and to intentionally and intelligently engage them on a daily basis. Nobody better embodies this unique philosophical outlook than the Nigerian fearologist, author, and founder of the Penlords association Mr. Ósìnàkáchì Ákùmà Kálù. A graduate of philosophy from the Pontifical Urban University Rome. Mr Ósìnàkáchì is a seasoned author of two books that teach how to tactfully and practically engage the emotion fear as a phenomenon in man. His first book, Conquering the Beast Fear: A Philosophical cum Psychological Approach published in 2016 dealt with how one can confront the fear factors in one’s life and the sources of fear, his second book, The First Stage of the Fearologist published in 2017 captures through the prism of his own life experiences how young people can overcome their self induced fears and assert themselves in an uncertain world of rapid change. Ósìnàkáchì’s extraordinary works gained him international attention which has attracted the international award of “Tilmati Bhaybad Fearism”. This award was given to him by the Fearism Study Centre Dharan Nepal on the 19th of August 2018 at hotel Hardik, Bagbazar, Kathmandu Nepal. Amongst those who have recieved this award in the past are Rana Kafle, 2014 and Rajendra Guragain 2017. Ósìnàkáchì is the third person to be honored with the prestigious award. With this award Mr. Ósìnàkáchì’s works place him in the world stage as not only a seasoned philosopher but also as a forerunner of this Fearism movement.
You don’t get to hear so many people who have made fear the very object of their study, however the award winning young Nigerian has aptly located fear in the centre of human existential struggle and has through his fascinating theories redefined the way we previously approached the subject of fear. For Osinakachi fear can become a central and positive tool that can be wielded in one’s favour. It is this kind of original intellectual portraiture that has not only won him this current international award but has also placed him in the global intellectual map as an astute innovative thinker.
